The Courtyard Kitchen - Santa Monica

Such a cute space with a well curated menu. I spent a perfect afternoon with my sister on the back patio. We had the Spicy ABLT and the Harissa Shrimp Bowl, each prepared with care. Our service was well executed and the lunch was a lovely treat.Food: 5/5

Loved this spot in Santa Monica! It was easy to make reservations on Yelp. Definitely recommend the honey wheat pancakes with blueberries. The texture was perfect. I like 'em crispy on the edges. My bf had the protein omelet which was good too. Location is also perfect if you plan a day at the beach or as a pre-hike grub.

Be prepared for a wait as they do not take reservations, however it was very good. Chipotle Beef burger was very good, my wife ordered it without the aioli onions as she is not a fan of those. I had the Roasted Turkey Club on toasted sourdough, it was very good. Our son had the Commoner Breakfast with the scrambled eggs and he said it was very good also. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I can highly recommend as it was a very good food and a very busy place!

I chose The Courtyard Kitchen for a business lunch, it was fine, nothing special.Highlights: It was a nice day and we sat outside. Food was tasty.Could have been better: Slow ish service. Paltry portions. Expensive for what we got.I had hoped for more...3 stars ok. Not great. not bad. Ok.BTW, I had the (smallish chicken salad sandwich, it was delicious, the bread was AMAZING (Tumeric raisin bread, WOW! Mixed greens on the side were a small portion; the plate of food was unimpressive. Throw in a handful of chips or something else and I probably would have given another star and considered returning. Maybe had I showed up in my Lulu yoga pants and shed 100 lbs. off my muscular 210 lb. frame, it would have been enough food.Still 3 stars, just ok.

Service was fantastic, staff was friendly and knowledgeable, food was superb. I ordered the Chipotle burger with a side salad and I was very pleased.Food: 5/5
