Nick The Greek - Santa Monica

This street converts to a farmers market on the weekend (cannot remember which day it was). We felt like having some Greek food, hence stepped in. There were a few choices nearby. The menu is simple enough, the place very functional, probably has under 10 small tables. It was empty when we went in, there were 3-4 tables outside too. It was a little nippy, so we went in. We ordered the gyros and they were very tasty, with the french fries, which is what we were looking for. The fries could have been a bit chunkier and less oily. The quantity was right and we walked out full and satisfied with a reasonable chunk of money, not too expensive.

I will ALWAYS recommend Nick the Greek. The kind employees, quick service, and quality of the food at every location I've been to always impresses me. You MUST eat here. I ordered the Lamb/Beef gyro bowl, which is becoming my go-to order. I love how well the flavors in this bowl work together. The rice acts as a pillowy base, the lettuce adds a nice crunch, the tomatoes are sweet and juicy, the beef/lamb is hot and tender, and the tatziki adds a creamy zesty flavor. Spread that sauce around, get a little bit of everything on your fork, and you've got a delicious bite.This bowl is super filling, and it'll provide you with the energy you need to walk on down to the Santa Monica Pier. And it's reasonably priced, too!If you like Greek food, or want to be introduced to it, come down to Nick the Greek! You won't regret it.

Go to lunch spot. Ive been in there when its super packed and the orders never take a long time, food comes out hot and fresh. Whether it's the pita or a plate they NEVER miss. My favorite meal is the beef lamb pita i add feta to it), combo nicks fries and a crispy pepsi from the fountain. Check them out!

I love the beef and lamb gyro combo. It's so good especially with the tzatziki sauce :3
