What User doesn't like about Mélisse:
There are live worms on the fruit. More than one worm. The waiter told us this is because they are “organic””from local farm” They did not show any sympathy or apology after we complained. Ridiculous. View all feedback.

This is my first 2 Michelin restaurant experience and I must say it was worth the experience. I was not disappointed with the aromas. I wasn't let off the portions. I never knew that the food was able to cool me and get me in complete ecstasy. I was in several other Michael-rated restaurants, but still nobody comes near Melisse. This restaurant will always have a very special place in me and the heart of my girlfriend. I was here a handful of time and every single dish surprised me with exceptional taste and impeccable presentation. Thanks Josiah, for this wonderful jewel.
We visit California at least once a year, and I will not lie, visit Melisse is one of our top reasons. It is always fantastic delicious, exciting presentation, and friendly and dedicated people work there. We have come since before the pandemic, and the experience is perhaps even better throughout, because, as intimate the Melisse side space is now. The thing that really does or breaks any experience for us is the people though, and they have some of the absolute best they are passionate about food, they will tell you everything about it, and they will interact with you as you are a guest they are invited to dinner it is not stiff as some imagination places can they really be, what is so much more fun!
I am convinced that Mélisse is one of the most intimate restaurants in LA, where you can enjoy various sophisticated gourmets. The creativity of the renowned chef Josiah Citrin shows in every dish, served in amazing presentations with magnificent delicacies. The combination of champagne wines with the tasting menu achieves perfectly balanced components, harmoniously. Located in a quiet ambience, stylish and stylish seating area, but private scene in the heart of Santa Monica, I love that we are able to see how cooks prepare our main thing in the most exquisite way, plus a wonderful sommelier that pays careful attention to detail presentations extraordinary service. If you? re a demanding food connoisseur like me, this 2 Michelin Star Square is suitable for a pleasantly charming date night. Overall, my friend and I are happy from the beginning, pampering our best palates properly with the bite-size portions.
Perfect example of a solid 2 star Great food all around with several excellent dishes, high quality ingredients well executed techniques, and refined service. For us, the meal's highlight was the turbot. The 14 person dining room is fantastic. While the price point is certainly up there, I'd recommend the experience and I'm excited to see what Melisse's team can put out going forward.
