What Kplant doesn't like about Co-opportunity:
I love that they have a smoothie bar and juice bar, as well as a variety of options in the bulk bins and bulk spices. They also offer a wide selection of vegan pastries and three choices of hot vegan soups. The store can be a bit expensive, but they do offer a membership price option. View all feedback.
I have frequented this restaurant over the years, enjoying their health drinks and vegan options. It is a member-owned cooperative market that is open to the public, offering a deli, hot food, salad bar, coffee, and fresh juice bar. They also have a grab-n-go case with many raw food items. There is a small seating area outside, and they stock fresh organic produce, bulk staples, frozen and refrigerated foods, vitamins, supplements, snacks, basic cooking items, and more. They are open Monday through Sunday from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. This is LA County's only organic food cooperative open to the public. The Co-Opportunity locations in Santa Monica and Culver City have convenient hours and offer a $200 life membership opportunity. The Santa Monica location is at 1525 Broadway, near 16th Street, and can be reached by walking just a couple of blocks from the 17th Street/SMC station, which is on the at-grade light rail station in the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is also conveniently located near the METRO rail EXPO train Line to the Beach/pier. For more information, visit their website at [hidden link].

This used to be my go-to spot for lunch while in the area. I really enjoyed the juice bar, which offers a variety of choices and I believe the produce is organic. They also had a good salad and hot food bar, but I'm not sure if it's still operating due to current health and safety measures. Overall, the market has a great selection of health food products, supplements, snacks, beverages, etc. that other health food stores don't carry. Take a stroll through the aisles and I'm sure you'll find something to be excited about. The staff is friendly and the store has a cool community vibe.

The refrigerated foods section features a wide range of package raw entrees and desserts, sushi rolls, and ready-to-eat foods many of which are vegetarian and vegan friendly. Since the remodel, a self-service salad bar and a soup bar have been added and overall, the entire market looks quite nice and feels spacious.
Love that all their produce is now organic! Love their pre-made food selections in hot bar and cold bar! For any turkey eaters: their Deli has slice, unsalted turkey breast that is hormone free...and tastes like REAL Turkey!
