Pozo Valley Wine Tasting Room

After our zip line adventure, where we celebrated our anniversary, we decided to go directly over the street to taste wine. Ahh! He poured our first glass and left. I got quite impatient and felt down. Hey! I know we were brown and sweaty by Ziplining, but we came to taste and if we liked it, we buy it! $15 per person to taste! I didn't want a bottle to be proud, but hubby liked the oyster ridge. Well. I have it for him as part of his anniversary gift. 1 star for first impressions. Although Stacy did it better! So I changed the star selection! 4 stars for my hub feel good after the 2016 oyster ridge pour. Ready! He'll have it with Steak!

Came here on Saturday, late afternoon. Not very busy. Drive from the Bay Area, we look forward to our visit as we have heard great things and love their wines. The place is very well furnished, nicely clean spacious area. During our tasting, the person visiting us would disappear 5-10 minutes at a time. Other employees stood around, talked with each other or took on other works. For an avid wine taste it is expected that the server will remain close to explaining or answering questions, it is part of the experience. Was very disappointed at her service. I'll wait for the next spout. There was a sweet employee who noticed me after the end and came here to help and talk to us. Our participant could not be found at this point. Long story short, the wines are good, but definitely not again to their tasting room. I appreciate the experience, not the wine.

Living in Atascadero and have tasted in a LOT of local tasting rooms, Ancient Peaks is a simple favorite. If I would just allow myself a wine club membership, it would be no doubt. Let's start with the location: your tasting room is located in Santa Margarita a bit outside the beaten path if you're in Paso right, but still worth the visit. Tonnes of seating, beautiful earthy furnishings, and their staff is wonderful. This place also does not pour a single bad wine from sauvignon blanc to the top end of Oyster Ridge red blend, it is all good quality. I recently tasted from a variety of local wineries at the WineFest, and it has really confirmed to me that while there are many great options, Ancient Peaks has totally gone on. I hate Chardonnay (it was all that I bought that you can really love something until you die), but her estate is a favorite of me. The rose is also amazing for hot summer nights, and the renegade red mix, Pinot Noir, or Merlot are all favorites. Just try it! You can't go wrong. Your food menu may seem fundamental at first glance, but know that presentation quality goes beyond and beyond. The Charcuterie plates should die for (GREAT quality cheese, meat, cornichons, nuts, dates) and their sandwiches are excellent. It is really all in the quality of ingredients, and they go out everything. My parents are members here speaking very high of the pickup celebrations of events, although I cannot say that I have participated in everyone. 10/10, good food big wine. Oh, and parking is easy.

We have tasted ancient peaks several times over the years and love them absolutely! They offer red and white as well as a rosé, and all their wines are very balanced and among the best on the Central Coast. For your tasting you will get five wines for $15. Not cheap, but worth it! You also have delicious treats from almonds and olives to sandwiches and carcuterie plates, but you can also bring your own food. We like to take a few blocks down from the Porch Café, then sit on the terrace and sip our wine in the sun. The servers are very knowledgeable and not too urgent about a wine club membership or the purchase of bottles. Our favorite behind the counter is the refreshingly funny, friendly and very attentive Yarrow. She told us everything about the estate, the areas where the wines are cultivated, showed us a huge fossil oyster and thought us for the hour we were there. We'll be back soon!

Half a block from my house, this place is nestled between a pile of trees, many potted plants surrounding the entrance and patio, picnic tables and veranda, blink and you might miss it while driving the 35mph speed limit within the town limits of Santa Margarita. Inside looks like a typical tasting room; attentive and friendly staff. My landlady is a member, these wine bottles grace her kitchen frequently. She invited me as her guest for a tasting. No frills, no swank. But our pourer went to the reserves dedicated only for the palettes of the privileged. Something I wouldn't have experienced had I not been there with my landlady.
