Our dinner at Turquoise Trail restaurant tonight was very enjoyable. We sat at the bar and were truly impressed by Jaime, the bartender and server. Despite the busy bar, Jaime remained calm and continued to provide top-notch service, always attentive, professional, and friendly. He did an excellent job considering how many customers he was serving. Bravo, young man! We are so glad we chose to dine there. And the ribs... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Turquoise Trail:
Oh man, what a disaster. This restaurant had some mixed reviews. The service and the food both had varying qualities. The first server who came to our table was rude and not very attentive. However, the server who took care of us later was friendly and respectful. Despite this, waiting 45 minutes for food that was flavorless, unseasoned, and poorly cooked was not worth the low cost. Take this picturesque route from santa fe to albuquerque instead of I-25. they drive through the picturesque town of madrid with special shops and even drive a part of the old route 66.
I didn’t like this hotel at all. It’s a large and run down property in the middle of nowhere. Not my cup of tea. The room was ok with a small fireplace and balcony facing the casino and parking lot, what a sad view. I booked the wrong hotel for my trip. I would have preferred a place to stay in the downtown area, is about 20 minutes away from downtown Santa Fe.
Places I Love I was driving along the #TurquoiseTrail heading towards #SantaFe in a red drop top. The home of Pueblo architecture and art, American West and Mexican arts and crafts, the city is fascinating with so much history culture #endlessroaming #travel #photos #USA
We booked a trip to Santa Fe (fairly last minute) because my hubby would be turning 50 over the Thanksgiving holiday. Here are a couple of my thoughts: ~Check in process was fine, uneventful, We asked for an upgrade and they said we already have a nice room which we did. We stayed in a suite on the 5th floor and it was lovely. Bedroom and separate dining/sitting area. 2 fireplaces, 2 balconies, and a huge bathtub and shower. Everything was SUPER clean. ~When we first arrived 1 fireplace didn't work and they sent someone up to fix immediately. ~The hotel is situated about 10 miles away from the town of Santa Fe. That posed a problem when we attempted to order from a food delivery service. WE discovered that GrubHub is the only delivery service that delivers out to the hotel...and we ordered from a great place called Much Gusto. Highly recommend. ~The only things we were not a fan of was 1. The water pressure. It was AWFUL. Like spitting on you for a shower. Took years to fill up the tub. 2. No guide working on the TVs at all. Now we normally wouldn't worry too much about not having a guide, but since we were in quarantine basically and nothing was open, we had nothing better to do but watch TV. The last night we were there is snowed a tiny bit and the satellite was not working. Normally it takes a good foot or 2 of snow for our satellite to stop working at home....and when I called the front desk, they said they would get someone on it. Not sure they ever did because the next morning it was still not working. All in all we had a lovely stay, We would stay there again in a heart beat. Oh and spend the $7 for the breakfast burritos at the Starbucks in the lobby, They were the BEST I have ever had. Thank you!
Most of the restaurants at the Buffalo Thunder Casino were closed, funneling all hungry people into the Turquoise Trail Bar Grill. The decor was kind of ESPN meets George Jetson, and our expectations were, shall we say, modest. But our server was pleasant and our Caesar salads were loaded with grilled shrimp and very tasty. Then came dessert. Va Va Voom! Chocolate Kabob! A skewered white truffle, chocolate truffle and brownie presented on a bed of whipped cream surrounded by mixed berries and drizzled chocolate syrup! Enough said.
