Great service, sushi and fish are fresh. My fiancé and I are very picky when it comes to sushi and this place is definitely delivered. The Sashimi was so delicious and the classic reels were well prepared. The tempura was served piping hot and so crisp. We will definitely go back. View all feedback.

Very fresh ingredients, tad bit on the pricey end, slow service (lack of staff unfortunately), miso soup costs $3 as is white rice being the cheapest while the Taos roll (baked lobster) was $18, but was very hospitable and friendly and not toobusy. The ingredients here are very fresh, although the prices are a bit on the higher side. Service was slow, likely due to a shortage of staff. Miso soup costs $3, and white rice is the cheapest item on the menu, while the Taos roll (baked lobster) is priced at $18. However, the staff was very hospitable and friendly, and the restaurant wasn't too busy. The atmosphere feels quite authentic, although it's not quite on par with Izanami down the street. I'd say it's above average compared to most places, while being fairly standard for downtown Santa Fe. My friend noticed that our Red Dragon roll was prepared differently the second time we visited. I found that it was made better than what was described on the menu, especially during the first visit. The fish was incredibly fresh, and everything tasted very well-prepared. I particularly enjoyed the Unagi, along with our sashimi and appetizers, which were chosen by the chef.

Sushi in the desert? Usually, that would be a hard pass, but this restaurant offers genuinely fresh fish, creative rolls, and attentive, friendly service. It's a wonderful option to bring some variety to the otherwise southwest-dominated menu (which is excellent, by the way).
Is it just any other restaurant? Who knows and who cares! The service was excellent, and the sushi was fantastic. It's a great option if you're looking for a lighter dinner after indulging in so much New Mexican cuisine. Highly recommended!
Izmi is a totally solid and delicious sushi choice in the middle of Santa Fe. I had the Green Chili roll (yummy! with seaweed salad. (generous portion! My husband had the sushi combo, which was also good. The service was efficient and great, despite a sign saying they are short staffed right now. The restroom was a little dark, but clean and well stocked with essentials.
