Vila Ventura Garden Grill - Santa Cruz

Food was edible but not great at all. Staff was unfriendly. Not a cosy place to dine. We are not going back here. Do not recommend.

There are many lovely places to eat locally, however this was my favourite, out of 7 nights we ate here 3 times. The food was delicious, quick and friendly service and a nice atmosphere in gardens. The only downside was there were quite a few flies when sat outside but this is to be expected in the setting.

Staff were super unfriendly never got shown too our table just pointed then no one bothered to come attend to us so had to find our own menus The food it’s self was dry the chicken and pork the pork was extremely vinegary and in all honesty I’ve had bad stomach all month Probably the worst too date

The restaurant looked very nice from the outside and the smell was very good so we've decided to eat dinner. I'm sorry to say it was a very poor and disappointing experience. We've ordered the beef espetada and the grilled scabbard fish. The quality of the beef was not high and I can say it honestly as for the last two weeks we've ate a lot in different places. This was the worst. The fish was very well grilled and looked great, but unfortunately it was so salty that I was not able to finish it. I've ordered the French fries to eat with the fish but didn't get it with the meal fries was served when the waiter was cleaning the table... House wine is also not very good. The staff is acceptable but nothing more (we've asked for a check twice it's actually a bit irritating). Won't come back and do not recommend. Sorry.
