The man at the register was a gem. He was patient with my 6 yo, friendly to us, and seeing the indecision on my face, suggested a half al pastor half chile verde burrito so I could try both. What MFG doesn't like about De La Hacienda Taqueria:
I hate to say it but this had to be the absolute worst carne asada burrito I’ve ever had. Packed full of bland cabbage, flavorless and grey meat. The entire thing was dry too. Depressing food, restaurant itself is in a bad area. Overall a terrible experience I will never be back. View all feedback.

This is way too close to... everything and I expect to be there a lot. Kid-friendliness: I can't emphasize enough how patient and kind they were with my kid, even pausing to help with the sticker dispenser and make sure he'd had enough to eat.
If you want good authentic tasting Mexican food (with the proviso that I am a really white guy) this is a great place. I am visiting from Maui so I don’t have a wide range of Santa Cruz experience to draw from! Come and see for yourself and draw your own conclusions. I loved the burrito I had and the salsa that came in a large squeeze bottle. Yummy!
Service was good. Taste was good. However, I ordered enchiladas and the only cheese was on the outside. It was different.
Charming. efficient staff serving fresh and delicious food!
My favorite for tacos! Crispy Vegetarian are delicious ?
