Fantastic place and fantastic atmosphere. There is food for everyone. I’m vegetarian and can eat at some of the places here. One of my friends is allergic to nuts, dairy, soy, and legumes and is also able to eat here. Definitely worth going. They also have drinks that might be a little expensive but are so tasty. What Amber Sayuri doesn't like about Abbott Square Market:
Lots of great vegetarian options. Good parking options as well. Bathrooms are sketch sometimes. Knocking 2 stars for the homeless ppl often showering in the sinks. Need more security to monitor the bathrooms, def do not feel comfy esp w kids in there. A lot of very large men ‘bathing in the sinks in the woman’s bathrooms, not cool. This has happiness enough so that we either do take out or skip this place all togethe... View all feedback.

Need more security to monitor the bathrooms, def do not feel comfy esp w kids in there. A lot of very large men ‘bathing in the sinks in the woman’s bathrooms, not cool. This has happiness enough so that we either do take out or skip this place all together now. This has happened often enough now to the point where we expect it. They def need to address this issue.
Lots of options with an outdoor seating area. Definitely a local favorite.
Very fun and variety rich market square. Quality music can be heard Fridays much of the year. There is a beer Garten seving craft brews from many local high quality breweries, Bar, Hamburger Joint and desert Cafe amongst other food places. You can come and go as you please too. Abbott Square has a quite intimate feel for an outside venue with ample table seating and standing room, pleasant lighting and a very artsy feel. Dogs seem welcome too. Parking is surprisingly good for downtown Santa Cruz. I am a musician who has played there and they provide a professional sound system run by a competent sound person that keeps things under control, not too loud and well balanced. Much dancing occurs at most shows. I recommend checking it out. Thanks
