go the extra mile for her menu. the main rib is in the very good, but this last visit was far too rare. sat back for med-rare, came brown and ugly, and all the fat hanging on a thread (if I sent it back to the kitchen) came back on my teller. Beautiful casual steak house with excellent meat quality for the price.
The service at this restaurant was excellent. The staff was very attentive and genuinely interested in ensuring your experience was enjoyable. I visited during Happy Hour and tried the flatbread with chicken pesto, as well as the ribeye for dinner. Here is a breakdown of my experience: Service: 5/5, Appetizer: 4/5, Beverages: 5/5, Dinner: 2/5. Unfortunately, the ribeye did not meet my expectations as it lacked flavor and seemed to be of lower quality than I had hoped for from a steakhouse. I left feeling disappointed and despite frequently visiting Santa Clara, I do not plan to return to this restaurant.
I went to this restaurant with a friend and found the food to be good and the service was satisfactory. However, upon checking my bank statement, I discovered that I had been charged more than the amount I had written on the receipt. Despite contacting the manager for an explanation, I never received a call back. Eventually, I filed a complaint with the State and learned that a 2% service fee had been added to my bill without my knowledge. This fee was added after I had already paid, as I always ensure that my final bill ends in zeros (e.g. $xx.00). It seems that the restaurant is not very transparent when it comes to charges, so be cautious if you choose to dine there. I recommend paying with cash to avoid any unexpected fees.
This restaurant is great. The cocktails were delicious. We were told that our server was new, but we couldn't tell because they were professional, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu options, and quick.
Prime rib is pretty good, medium was closer to medium well, but most likely because I asked for them to do a quick searing. Wife's bone in ribeye was perfect. Seasoning is perfect also.
