Was recently there and did not leave hungry or dissapointed. They offer tasty local dishes and tapas and a wide variety of spanish wine. It is right on the road but easy to miss if you are driving by. Staff was friendly too
Friendly welcome. We ordered two of the specials; fried goat with fries and a typical chickpea meal with bits of meat in a turmeric looking dry as opposed to wet sauce- we wanted to try each other’s order and both were very tasty and went very well together. I would not have wanted to eat just one. Portion size good. The garlic dip with the bread at the start was lovely. Two local beers and meal was around 24 € We would go again. It opens at 8pm. Free Wi-fi. The helpful staff had a reasonable grasp of English with their help and my translator we worked out the Spanish menu.
The affable Chago, is a former bus driver and butcher who decided to start his own wayside saloon and eatery. Thank heavens for his sense of adventure because the establishment serves good fare in a mid-priced range. They also make their customers feel welcomed and at home in this intimate surroundings. One warning, the restaurant /bar is rather small so it might be crowded and somewhat noisy.
The Fabada (butter bean and sausage stew) was really excellent. Fish mains at lunch good too. Recommended
