When in Santa Luzia… This small coastal town facing the Ría Formosa nearby Tavira is known around Portugal as the country’s ‘octopus capital’, hence the reverence paid here to this popular culinary speciality. Maritime inspired cooking and decor fully focussing on octopus. Place to be for octopus lovers! Attentive service also deserves an applause. View all feedback.
What ppint doesn't like about Casa do Polvo Tasquinha:
Nice food, but too expensive for what you get. Ridiculous booking process. They never answer to phone, but if you go directly they dont have tables and ask you to phone!! View all feedback.
Fantastic service, good and variety. Octopus dishes are really amazing. True Algarve and Portuguese food. The spot near Ria Formosa in the Sotavento area of Algarve is top notch.
My Mom and boyfriend had the grilled octopus, and it was delicious, sooo soft!! I tried from their plates and it was great. My dish was the octopus Al forno from the oven, my octopus unfortunately was not as soft and a littler hard to chew. If I would come back to this place I recommend getting the grilled one. I read that the staff was rude in other reviews, I totally disagree. The waiters and waitresses were very welcoming and the service was great! Apparently the owner is German and she really doesn’t know how to handle problems. There is a way of saying things and she didn’t find the right words, tone and action. There was a disagreement with a reservation and when she just didn’t want to talk about it anymore she pushed the guy out of the restaurant every other person would have asked him to wait a little so that more tables will get free and then he and his friends could have a table, but she just didn’t want to find a solution. This disagreement was creating a lot of noise and discomfort in the whole restaurant. I wouldn’t go there again because personally I don’t want to deal with this kind of arrogance. But for everyone who doesn’t value that for their dine out, food is still great!
Chegamos as 12h15.
Simpatia. Espaço agradável! Bons rissois! Polvo saboroso! Um sólido 8
