What JohnT doesn't like about Bouchon Santa Barbara:
Both our waiter and the staff were polite and efficient. The ambiance was also quite enjoyable. My wife and I both felt the food was good, but certainly not outstanding. My rib eye, from Snake River farms, (a supplier with whom I am very familiar) was oddly sliced and did not resemble any ribeye I've ever had. A perfect meal on July 4th. Rarely if ever can I say every aspect of a meal was outstanding, but between food, wine selection and service we had a 10 of 10 wonderful evening. We went fairly simple with filet and sea bass but both were flavorful and cooked spot on. Next time we will be bolder and trust the popular duck, venison and lamb dishes.
