Super wonderful experience. Table for 6, made reservation, sat us instantly when we arrived, a server with a back up server. Appetizers on point Salads, Soups and Calamari. Pizza Gluten Free Regular, Raviolis, Osco Busco, Lasagna, Pasta, and a pistachio dessert. I'm certain there were 2 bottles of wine consumed and 3 cocktails on our bill. Split three ways for under $100 a couple. We will be back we typically eat at... View all feedback.
What Lenny Tremblay doesn't like about Osteria D' Assisi:
At these prices, the food should be hot at least. I ordered lasagna and the first plate came cold. I mean cold in the center. I gave it back. The second portion was warm. Since my wife and I were with friends, I just ate it. If it had been hot, I would consider it 3 out of 5 as the taste. Luke warm two. There are other Italian restaurants in the area that are much better and quite much cheaper. Besides the atmosphere... View all feedback.
My wife and I visited Santa Fe and we had asked our neighbours to live where we should eat... their first answer was Osteria D'Assisi. We started with the Gnocchi appetizer and it rivaled everything I had in Italy safe. After that I had the file and my wife had the Carbonara. My fillet was rare to meditate as I like it. It was butter. I didn't need a knife, it was so tender. The Carbonara was rich and delicious, all that a Carbonara should be. Our waiter, Dan, was great... we had decided to feed up. He ran back and forth when he had people down. Dan filled us in the history of the building and the restaurant itself. Hands down when you come to Santa Fe with all means eating the local indigenous foods it is fabulous that Chile's etc. However, spend this special night and dine in Osteria D'Assisi. We often traveled to Italy as we are both cyclists. And we will soon buy a host there, we know good Italian and this is certainly one of the best.
We made reservations for Thanksgiving Day. Server was really nice. Our bread was served dry and cold without butter. Waited much too long for cold soup and a strange salad that didn't taste like it should, salad was extremely bitter. Then we waited 30 minutes for our main course after the salad and the soup were removed. I was not under the impression that the ravioli served swimming in water and olive oil, not even edible. We decided to go and we? re billed for items we consumed so that was nice of the manager, I think.
Amazing birthday party again!! From ambience to food and service?.a must visit Santa Fe!!! Gabriella was a wonderful addition to our experience!! Thank you!

But that's not enough to bring us both back.
This gem is a fabulous departure from all the NM cuisine and overpriced and over rated places here in Santa Fe. The food is incredible as well as the staff. The desserts are so incredible.....I truly enjoyed every aspect of this place. A little pricey but once you taste the food that is the furthest thing on your mind. We all agreed the food was exceptionally flavorful and portioned perfectly. The service was timed perfectly and the staff was knowledgeable and not pushy regarding drinks or specials. The staff and the food and the ambiance were a total combination that were flawless and complimentary to a fantastic dining experience. My suggestion is go.....definitely go ......you will be very very happy you did and you WILL be back.....I know I will.
