What A G doesn't like about El Indio Botanas Y Cerveza:
One of my favorite spots in downtown Santa Ana. Menu is a little limited, but I think food is good. Place can get really busy or Friday and Saturday nights. At times bar is just very busy that it will take a while to get a drink so order two at a time! The my have DJs there playing good music. They serve food during the day, but menu is kind of limited. Food is good though. Gave this place three stars though because... View all feedback.

Food is good though. Gave this place three stars though because it could be a little more tidy and because bar service takes a while. Fun spot though.

First time there. Taquitos were pretty good sauce was a bit too spicy for me. Tacos de barbacoa were delicious!Food: 5/5
4+ for the food 3- for the esthetic I've heard this place is popular and fun in the evenings. They specialize in beer and Mexican bar food, which is really good. My friends and I were there for lunch at noon and it felt very divey. They had just opened and the staff was cleaning off the cold metal chairs and beat up black pleather couches in the dinghy alley dining patio, with smelly bleach water. There was no indoor seating available at this time. I was hesitant to stay but we had a group trickling in so decided to stay. One of my friends said he came here one night and his sister got hit with a chair by a drunk guy and they never came back again. Not sure what kind of crowd this place attracts. I must say though the food was good and priced well. Kuddos to the cooks!
I love all the Mezcal mixed drinks! If I could I would have liked to try the whole menu... next time! I used to frequent Indio when it first moved to dtsa and then I moved my business to a different city. I was so glad to find a good meal and killer mixed drinks to satiate my desire to be back in this part of town! We came here on taco Tuesday! Try the Nopal tacos they were killer! Chicken tinga was super flavorful! Thanks Indio !
