Terrible smell from entering the guesthouse, even more terrible in the room! The only clean thing was the sheets! The miserable bathroom and all the rusty faucets, you were sick to touch anything, the shower cabin with hair and mess.... I asked about breakfast and the lady at the reception said 40 RON/person (under the conditions that I had breakfast at the Crinul Alb restaurant in the center of Oradea for 25 RON. Typical Romanian Jecmaneala at this guesthouse. For a dinner he asked 60 RON/person. She said that she was preparing a bean stew for us : . Avoid the location! person RON/person
We decided to spend the night here instead of driving 3 more hours to Timisoara. The rooms look clean (there was a strong smell of chlorine). The bathroom had a moldy like smell, shower head was broken (we called the reception and they apologized for the inconvenience but that was about it). One towel, although smelled clean, had a chewing gum stuck on it. The noise from the freeway was HORRIBLE! The bed......was a different story, the worst bed I had ever slept in, hard, squicky and very uncomfortable. It was not worth the 135 RON/night. I've stayed on cheaper places that looked way better than this place.
I booked two nights at this guesthouse through a travel agency because I wanted to visit Oradea, being with my family. Ever since I arrived, I realized that something is not right with this guesthouse. There was no one at the reception and, although I rang the bell that was on the counter, no one appeared. In the end, I found a lady who was cleaning somewhere in the basement and I told her that we had a reservation for two nights. Not knowing anything about the reservation, he called the boss who told me on the phone that the people from the agency haven 't paid him yet, but she will solve it somehow and told us that we can occupy room number 5 from 1st floor. Entering the room, I noticed that it was in an advanced state of decay, being very miserable. In that room there was a double bed and two single beds. The sheet on the double bed was stained with an orange liquid and I asked the lady there to change it for us. The surprises continued: one curtain was missing and the other was torn, the refrigerator was full of water from melted ice, the towels were stained and very dirty, the walls were dirty and stained, the bathroom wall was full of moisture and mold, etc. Although it was a room for four people, there were only three single duvets and, after we requested another duvet, we were brought one without a sheet. Bulbs were missing from the lighting fixtures, and in the bathroom there was only one bulb that emitted a very weak light. It took a lot of dirt and rust. For us it was a very unpleasant experience and that 's why we left this location the day before because we felt our health and that of the children was in danger. I do not recommend this guesthouse in any way and I think that such locations should not work, especially since it is rated 3 stars.
