We arrived as hikers and were more than satisfied: a very accommodating host, very tasty food and clean, cozy rooms. Breakfast was rich. It's just a cat jump to the Rheinsteig. Absolute recommendation! Walkability: The Rheinsteig is a short walk from the city centre. Beverages: There is a varied selection of very tasty dishes of flame cake, hearty pancakes, salads and noodles as well as other treats. View all feedback.
What Walter Kluge doesn't like about Café Herrmanns Mühle:
When I checked out, I waited for my family to pick me up, but they close the place so I had to wait outside, which was not nice (a bit rainy). They gave me no chance to wait inside. The room was also very cold without heat (7 degrees Celsius) without heat or even additional ceiling in the room. View all feedback.

My wife and I spent a night here. We were on the Rheinsteig. This hotel was uniquely beautiful. There is so much love in this project that we can only deny ourselves. Whether the kindness you radiate, the self-made jam, the self-made pastries, the flame cake, the delicious breakfast it was just very nice with you. We spent our first wedding day here and had a very good feeling on arrival, which could not prove. The room was still ok, but all came in the years. The bathroom was very old, the joints were very moldy and the fittings were quite calcified. On arrival we were told that at the time there were seven sleepers in the house and that they could be heard at night. Unfortunately, this resulted in permanent, loud scratches and noises that lasted from midnight to 8 a.m. and we did not sleep as well. An apology gave after a note the next day that we had to pay the full price for a sleepless night and had to drive much worse completely overcrowded with the motorcycle house, did not make it any better. Totally not recommended. You don't have to talk about checkin at 10 a.m. and the more economical breakfast.
Very well managed, charming hotel with very delicious food (flamcake! , cakes, comfortable beds and nice hosts.
We spent 3 nights here in July and chose the hotel based on the very good reviews. The rooms are all individually nicely furnished and in overall good condition. The breakfast buffet is simple, but sufficient.But it has disturbed us that, despite reference to the homepage, we were not allowed to have breakfast on the terrace, as it was nice. Hotel operator is then otherwise too unclear at approx. 10 breakfast guests not understandable . During our stay the rooms were also not cleaned, on request we only received fresh towels on the next day. The host people were very distant, so that the extraordinary kindness described by many reviewers is not comprehensible for us.
