I had the filet which... read more Cielo Restaurant was absolutely amazing. I came here for my grandfathers 85th birthday, and the food, environment, and waiter were great. I had the filet which was expensive, but cooked to perfection and delicious. I would highly recommend coming herefor a nice dinner.

We went for a birthday dinner and the hostess didn't even have to ask if they would put on the final decorations to the cake. Hostess took the name of the birthday person and the piano player dedicated songs to her. Theatmosphere is a cross between southern elegance and key West charm. Our server was the most professional I've had in SWFL. Thefood was prepared perfectly, with a beautiful presentation. I HIGHLY recommend the grilled octopus appetizer; it's the bestoctopus I've ever eaten.

We love the modern, bold b/w floral against that sharp green on the chairs, the height of the ceiling and theexpansive windows. But, unfortunately, you can’t eat the room. The cocktails are not to be missed and my partners dishes werewonderful. My were simply horrible. At this level, at this price, there’s no excuse. My ribs were dry and tasteless and myscallops were sandy with cold bamboo rice. Failure on the basics but great style. We thought we were in for a fabulous mealwhen we walked in. Cielo did not deliver.

None of the top 10 lists we found included this restaurant, but they definitely should have. The best meal we ate on the island and we travel quite a bit. Our server, Jason, was very knowledgeable. The piano player sang a song for ourbirthday girls. Calamari was some of the best we 've had. Scallops had an amazing presentation and the pancetta jam was on point.Chocolate mousse cake and creme brulee were lovely. Will absolutely go back. Great wine list.
