Timbers - SANIBEL
Timbers
Description
Timbers, a beloved seafood destination in Captiva/Sanibel, has recently faced sharp criticism from longtime patrons. Diners report a decline in quality, citing overcooked seafood, sluggish service, and lackluster communication, particularly during busy holiday seasons. While some still appreciate the cozy atmosphere and a few standout dishes like the New England clam chowder and grouper, many feel the restaurant has strayed from its former glory. Frequenters now find themselves seeking alternatives, emphasizing the need for improved service and authentic local seafood to restore the establishment's once-stellar reputation.

As a family, we have been going to Timbers for years. This time, it was sad. Overcooked seafood, which then clearly continued to cook under the heat lamps before serving. Took over an hour from order to finally getting it delivered to the table. Clearly, they were short staffed and the staff that was there could not be bothered to clearly communicate. And even with empty tables, had too many people in the restaurant to do a great job. Saw them turn away customers for no reservations. Very little local seafood as well. Just sad and disappointing
