Reviews - Pecoro
Reviews summary
Pecoro’s is a warmly recommended, small wood-fired pizzeria in Sandy delivering handcrafted, high-quality pizzas, including a standout gluten-free base. Regulars praise fast, attentive service, a relaxed low-key atmosphere and convenient takeaway/delivery. Free parking and a dog-friendly outdoor area add to its appeal for locals, couples and families. Occasional takeaway presentation issues and a reported instance of turning customers away near closing suggest limited late-hour availability, but overall it remains a beloved neighborhood spot for reliably excellent pizza.

Alan at Pecoro went above and beyond to deliver delicious pizzas (and the doughballs omg yum! for a birthday event in Sandy, children and grown ups enjoyed it all! My husband and I have also eaten in the restaurant on a friends recommendation and loved the rustic setting. Highly recommend to all pizza lovers, even in you’re gluten free! What Bas Veldhoven dislikes about Pecoro:
Turning away customers because you are closing in 25 minutes isn't how I would run my business especially in todays climate. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3 View all feedback.

I’ve eaten at Pecoro’s many times and the food has always been excellent. However, my last takeaway from there could have been much better. The pizza’s (x3) were very watery and had clearly knocked over, because all the toppings had fallen to one side of the pizza. We ate what we received, as we were very hungry, but it wasn’t the best experience overall on this occasion. Usually Pecoro’s are excellent and I will eat there again in the future. This pizza was next level. Really really good quality. Staff were friendly and polite, couldn't do enough for us. We had a takeaway, waited roughly 15 minutes for 2 hand made pizzas and a garlic bread. If you're in sandy and see dominoes, do a U-turn and give this a go. This will now be our regular pizza place!! Our first Pecoro experience and we loved it! I ordered takeaway pizza and tiramisu (and two cheeky cannoli) online to collect at 18:20 on my way home from work, a Friday treat. It was ready to pick up bang on time and it was all delicious. Approx £32 for 2 great pizzas, a portion of tiramisu (very generous) and the cannoli. We’ll definitely do it again sometime and would love to eat in sometime too.
This is a lovely little pizzeria with a casual approach. A simple, but full menu of pizza options, with probably the best gluten free pizza base we’ve tasted for a small extra cost We love the low key atmosphere, great service and wonderful pizzas. If you love pizza in Sandy then you should definitely give them a go! Bellisimo!
Great Staff, Great Food and 5* Service! The staff are great! I was visiting from the north when I called in late on a Wednesday evening for a pizza. Was warmly welcomed even though it was near closing time but was still served great food. The pizzas are top quality fresh pizzas. You will not be disappointed! Special thanks to Alan also for his kindness in helping me out. Highly recommended to visitors and locals if you're looking for great Italian food. A must for pizza lovers!
Having not been here for quite a few months, scratching our heads as to why we've left it so long! Everything about this place is perfect better than Pizza Express, better than Prezzo etc. etc. etc. Service was spot on, and the way they dealt with my kid's nut allergy was much appreciated. Will be back, and won't leave it so long next time!
This is such a little gem in Bedford/Sandy area. I went there twice, one for pizza and one for drink Had the ham and cheese pizza, apple pie gelato, and pumpkin spice latte. Omg they are all very good! Reasonable price, welcoming staff and delicious food. They got me as a frequent customer now
