Cover Two - Sandy Hook
Cover Two
Description
Cover Two is a lively, family-friendly sports bar in Sandy Hook prized for burgers, a strong beer list and plenty of TVs for game-watching. Fast service, friendly bartenders and weekday wing deals keep it popular, but visitors warn of inconsistent food quality—especially wings and nachos—and unexpected extra charges for add-ons. Expect a casual, busy atmosphere, possible waits, and mixed service experiences despite its local staple status.

Our favorite local watering hole and food....staff are always on point the drinks and food great- SH people are the best! Wing night Tuesday is crowded and game days too its the place to be... Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I came here based off a recommendation. Mary our bartender was extremely disappointing. She was on her phone most of the time that we were there, and eating candy while helping us behind the bar which is not professional or sanitary. She did not provide good service. It was not what I was expecting. When I tried to pay she ignored us and we had to chase her down to have her take our payment. Due to this I will not return to this location.
Excellent food, great service, lively atmosphere. Take-out: My only complaint...and it 's a biggie...is that payment kiosk. Being prompted to 'tip or not to tip ' for take-out is extremely insulting and creates a very awkward situation between the customer and the cashier. I am more than happy to tip, even for take out because the same servers get 'cheated ' when people don 't eat in, but being prompted to tip on a take-out order is discouraging. I will very likely pay cash in the future.
Local sports bar with great food that is simple but on point. A staple in Sandy Hook and rightfully so. Good beer selection Popular place so don’t be surprised with a wait any night of the week. Deals on wings Monday and Tuesday Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
We came here late Saturday night. They ate one of the few places open in the area that late. It was crowded but no wait. They were open until 11 for food, 1am for the bar. Staff was friendly. There is seating inside and outside. Pretty big bar but it was filled. There are tvs all over with different games on. The food was very good. We got garlic Parmesan wings to start. Very crispy with good flavor. My only critique is that I wish there was a little more sauce on them. Speaking of wings, they offer free wings on your birthday. Check the rules and restrictions listed on the menu. I got the Rodeo Burger. It had cheddar cheese, bacon and bbq sauce. You also get a side of onion rings instead fries. The onion rings were amazing. They felt like they were melting in my mouth. I took some and added it to my burger to enhance it. It actually got more crowded the later it got. I will definitely be coming back to try some of the other menu items.
