Thirsty Pony - Sandusky

Wow. Talk about horrible. First we walk in and are blatantly ignored. A server walks by and tells us to honk the donkey or whatever is at the front to receive help. How about no. She finally circles back around and tells us to figure it out for ourselves because she won 't assist us. Comes back around again to forcibly tell us to go to the bar instead because again we won 't be seated. We go to the bar and it is filthy. Dirty plates and spilled drinks everything including on the chairs. We have to stop one of the two bartenders to ask for a menu. We are told to look online. We then ask for a towel or napkin to wipe up the messes on the bar. She rolls her eyes, throws something, grabs a DIRTY dish rag, and just tosses it at us and walks away. So we bolted from there. Obviously they didn 't want to work and the establishment didn 't want our business. The only place near several hotels for the Cedar Point stays and they couldn 't be bothered to even pretend to care. Avoid at all costs.

I like coming here. But I would not say the cleanest place. But the food is always good Kid-friendliness: Games to play outside

Rustic restaurant with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Food is good and well prepared with a good variety. Our server was very friendly. I'm from out of town, but I would eat there again.

We ordered appetizers and beverages. Nice size servings. The food and service were great.

Came here two nights in a row. Stayed at the hotel right next door. First night, food was alright not the best but not awful. Our server at the smaller bar was so nice! Came back second night and small bar was closed so we seated ourselves in the larger bar. The server from the night before was at the bar but we couldn't get a seat sadly. We sit at table, I try to get a near by server to make sure we were not taking up her table and so we could order from her. Asked her if it was her table and she very rudely told me no and walked away. Fine, we went to the bar to order from our previous server who again was just so nice. I'm a server, so I was asking the one girl because I get it and didn't want to take up realistate and her not get the money. So her rude response was uncalled for but none the less. We were not rude or demanding, simply trying to make sure I did right by my server. Sad it went that direction but Adriana at the bar was lovely! Highly suggest asking for her if you can!
