My boyfriend and I went to this lovely inn to celebrate our three-year anniversary. We ordered the vegetarian fixed vegan dish without the truffle butter. The food was delicious and there was a large portion meant for two people. Be warned, don't order unless you have a big appetite as we had to take leftovers home! View all feedback.
What Peter Austen doesn't like about The Lamb Inn:
During our 5-night stay in Sandford, we dined at this restaurant on our first evening. The menu was appealing, and we both decided on the salt and pepper squid. Unfortunately, we were served four small squid rings each that lacked any seasoning. My wife's whitebait was simply fried and not coated in flour as expected. I ordered the slow-roasted belly of pork, which was delicious. The service was slow, but the hostess did apologize for the delay. The restaurant seems to be popular for its marketing and social events, so I wouldn't rule out a return visit. We stayed at the Lamb Inn for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience with Nick and his team. After a long, tiring drive to the Inn, we were warmly greeted by the staff and enjoyed a relaxing dinner. Our room (room 3) was well-kept and peaceful. The Continental breakfast was satisfying, with Nick offering to bring more coffee if needed. We highly recommend the Lamb Inn for its delicious local food and welcoming atmosphere. The locals were friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. Best of luck to Nick and his team in the future.
Impeccable food and drinks are served at this charming village inn, despite its old appearance. The menu is limited to what is displayed on the board in the bar, as the kitchen is small. All ingredients are locally sourced, resulting in meals that exceed typical pub offerings without being overly expensive. However, parking can be difficult in the narrow roads of Sandford, a small village. The Lamb Inn is a popular spot, so arriving early is recommended to secure a table for dining.
This village pub is fantastic. It has a cozy, traditional atmosphere and friendly staff. While it is popular with locals, newcomers are also made to feel very welcome. The food is delicious, with a gourmet touch rather than standard pub fare, and there is a spacious beer garden for warmer days and smokers. I highly recommend paying a visit!
I had a fantastic experience at The Lamb Inn! My husband and I recently stayed there and enjoyed every moment. The room was luxurious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The attention to detail was impressive and all the facilities were top-notch. The staff were friendly and provided excellent hospitality. The continental breakfast was delicious and our dining experience was amazing. The Sunday roast and salmon were both fantastic. As a pescetarian, I was pleased with the variety of meat-free options on the menu. I would highly recommend The Lamb Inn to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway. It was truly one of the best experiences I've had in a long time.
