The restaurant didn't seem prepared to serve customers, despite having no one waiting in line. The strombolis were simply sitting on a rack near the oven rather than in the serving area, and it appeared they weren't ready to restock other items like spaghetti and salads. The food was decent for a mall setting, but the Jarritos drinks were a nice bonus.
The staff at this restaurant were very rude. When I requested two slices with sausage, I was unkindly told that what was available was all I could have. There was a Supreme pizza with sausage on display, but I explained that I couldn’t eat a Supreme due to medical reasons. The staff member simply responded with indifference. As a result, I decided to take my business elsewhere. This experience was definitely not what I remember from the Sbarro I grew up with. In my opinion, I will not be returning, nor would I recommend this location in Lynnhaven Mall to anyone.
I arrived at the restaurant at 10:30 am, eager to order some pizza, but to my surprise, I was told I couldn't be served until 11 am. This is utterly ridiculous! They have a whole array of food available! Having worked for this company for 10 years, I can say we never turned customers away, no matter how early it was. If there was food ready, you could have it! I’m very disappointed. Plus, with so much food available, it’s likely that it had been sitting out since 10 am, so it’s not even fresh from the oven when they finally open!
Claiming to be NY pizza, I can see they get their dough reasonably right, it's crispy and chewy at the same time. However the cheese is relatively flavorless, and the sauce might as well be ketchup it's so sweet. Service was fast, prices are a little inflated here for what you get portion wise. It's the mall food court, so expect to have to keep an eagle out for a table during peak times, and hopefully that table is clean.
