What shari pinon doesn't like about Leo's Mexican:
Staff was super friendly and spoke Spanish so I thought I would be getting good food. But I was bamboozled man. The flautas looked and tasted like those frozen taquitos you buy at Walmart, the guacamole was a day old because it was starting to brown, they cheese was shredded cheder instead of Cotija (which is what goes with flautas), the salsa tasted like the tostitos chunky salsa which is supposed to go with chips n... Fast, high, restaurant quality Mexican food. Tastes great and was quick on the order.
We all really enjoyed our food that night.The place is reminiscent of Tucson Mexican food in the '50s- '70s. We 'll definitely be back there very soon.Thank you!
Only place I can find ground beef tacos that taste like when I was growing up in Tucson! Delicious ?
Just ate here ordered 2 chicken tacos. The chicken was boiled I believe and not drained very well at all my plate was full of water. There was less then a teaspoon of cheese and it wasn't even Mexican cheese it was cheddar, not good at all. The tacos only came crunchy, the salsa was good, however o ly offered a small bowl of chips and salsa and couldn't get more. Again not really good for a sit down restaurant. Will not go back. I didn't see vegetarian or dietary listing. Recommend the chips and salsa that's it. I also ordered an ice tea, the water tasted like tap water with very little tea couldn't taste the tea and it was raspberry tea, no flavor. Again will not return not worth the blan food.
I ordered my meal through a delivery app, and it arrived fast. That’s about the only good thing I have to say about it. Food was mediocre (at best) and soggy. Even though I had specifically requested salsa and utensils on the side, none were provided. I called the restaurant to ask why I was not given salsa (and I was told it is only given out by request). I stated that I did request salsa and a set of utensils. The only response I got was… Did you want to drive in here to pick it up? The whole reason I had ordered on an app, is because I did not have access to a car at the time, nor did I have utensils. I’m extremely disappointed with this restaurant, and will not be ordering from there ever again.
