Description

An old-school BBQ joint serving tender brisket, chopped brisket sandwiches, standout fried chicken sandwiches, fried okra, baked potatoes, homemade ranch and sweet tea. The porch, BYOB sign and casual atmosphere appeal to locals and BBQ lovers, and some praise quick, friendly service and well-seasoned fries. However, experiences are inconsistent—complaints include cold fries, overpriced plates, rude staff or owner, and cleanliness concerns (notably a dirty high chair). Worth trying for sandwiches and BBQ by the pound, but temper expectations for consistency.

The overall vibe of the place is very basic, which could be excusable if the food was good. The waitress and Raul were exceptionally kind and efficient, but despite their efforts, I still recommend saving your money and looking elsewhere. By the way, they have a BYOB sign out front, and they are conveniently located next to a gas station if you need to fill up.

The service was exceptional, and they might just have the best fried chicken sandwich I've ever tasted. My kids even said the chicken is better than Chick-fil-A's!

I had the softest and best-cooked baked potato I've ever tasted. The restaurant wasn't crowded, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating! The fried okra was fantastic as well! We dined outside on the porch and savored every moment of our experience!

This restaurant has a charming atmosphere reminiscent of a classic BBQ joint. The service is quick and efficient. The brisket was incredibly tender and juicy, which is impressive for such a lean cut of meat. They offer BBQ by the pound, BBQ sandwiches, and a variety of entrees.

The restaurant is under new management, and I highly suggest giving it a try. You'll find friendly service and a dedicated staff here. I recommend the chopped brisket sandwich or the sliced brisket served with pickles and onions. You can even add sausage if you'd like! The fries are consistently well-seasoned and crispy, which I really enjoy.
