Uchiwa Ramen - San Rafael

Gyouza shouldn't be called Gyouza, but deep-fried dumplings. The rams were fine, but there are much better alternatives... The girl who served us was very sweet and incredibly beautiful..

Disappointment experience, Zangkotsu not at all warm, grumpy lady serving, maybe too early after opening, but would recommend trying somewhere else. It's a shame, it looked all good, beautiful interior, but here the saying, it's not the look baby, it's the taste. Never again.

Uchiwa makes the best broth for her tonkatsu. I like to add Kimchi to the bowl and her fire wort on the side. I don't agree with the reviews that say the broth is dirty. It's the richest thing I found. The only place that even compares is in Japan city in SF. The food is superior and you could not ask for more personal experience. It is like going home for comfort food! I love Uchiwa!

Short ribs were great. The Ramen itself was inedible, I have an incredibly high spice tolerance, but the way they made it was just inedible, not spicy, just absolutely destroyed the meal. They made a meal I ordered intolerably spicy when I ordered Regular Spice. I love spicy food, but this wasn't good, the ramen bowl was absolutely destroyed from the level of spice in a very bad way, couldn't taste anything, wasn't even worth eating half of it. So order the spice oil on the side if you actually want to enjoy your ramen at all...

Ramen on a rainy day was a perfect pairing. My office and I scrambled to get a To-Go order in for our lunch today: our first choice was unresponsive to our online inquiry or answering their phones to let us know that To-Go wasn't an option for their place anymore.. so we found this spot. Excellent Customer service, first and foremost. I will sing praises of this place for their patience, their attention to detail and thoughtfulness of our situation. Both people behind the counter were amazing folks, and they were swamped with people coming through for their lunch rush and having phone calls and To-Go orders made at the location. They were awesome! The food was well worth it. I received the Miso Ramen and it was a beautiful, traditionally made dish. Everything was portioned perfectly and the tempature was still hot when I got to it. They packaged it well and with the most thought! I never had to worry about the Raman dishes spilling or getting ruined! They even added a hi-chew! Haha I love that! I don't live in this area, but if I work here again, I know I can come back to this place!
