This place is a cut above other places we have dined for Asian. It is not the cheapest Asian food in SMA, but it is the best we've had. I had a cup of hot and sour soup, we shared a crab rangoon appetizer and the main courses were Singapore street noodles and my wife had a noodle and tofu dish (can't recall the menu name). Both were perfectly seasoned and delicious. Portions were large as well. We each have a meal le... View all feedback.
Tried to post again new pictures and upgraded the Asia Orient Express to 5 stars. We have now ordered at least 5 more times from them and wanted to post pictures. The food has been consistently great and delivery of the food is hot and fast. We did get two more responses today, one from the chef regarding our first post and another one author unknown to my partners what’s app account where we order from. The chef was very nice regarding our first experience but the other extensive post we found unwarranted and a bit a surprising as it was not very cordial nor receptive. If we did not appreciate the food we would not have kept ordering. Thank you Franco and to the chef. We are going to continue to be loyal customers. Dr. C Tried to post new pictures but I can’t seem to figure it out. ——————————— I tied to post pictures. If you can see the shrimp, there are 4 total. Hard to figure this google site out. ———— ———— Thank you Franco!! Well, we reordered delivery after about 10 days from our first order. Wow!! How much better. I upgraded to 4 stars. We were sadden that some of the appetizers were no longer available that we wanted to retry. I was surprised the shrimp tempura delivered were very good as I thought it may get soggy on delivery but they were ok. First time trial I still think the crab and cheese Rangoon could be much larger but they were not over fried this time. Second time trial. The Mongolian beef was one of the best I have tasted!! The beef was tender and order with the fried rice. This is a definite reorder!!! The order of fried rice with beef was very good as well!! It’s another reorder. We look forward to trying more dishes. Pictures to come. ———————— We ordered delivery to our home. We spoke with Fransisco, I might be spelling it wrong. He speaks perfect English. I speak perfect Spanish. Pictures to come, I wish I had taken before and after, but I did not. We have eaten Chinese/Vietnamese/Thai/Korean/Japanese around the world. We have tried so many in SMA. SUSHI, we found our place and is as good as in the USA. Thai we found one but no beer or liquor. Nothing else in SMA, but we just moved here 9 months ago. We ordered: Crab ragoon appetizer: they were tiny and over fried. The pictures is all the fried breading that no one would eat. I took the fried rim off and ate the pocket of cream cheese the size of a dime at best. No crab Pot stickers: they were tiny, the picture looks like they are larger but filling was the size of your thumb nail. Tasty but so small. Chicken basil with chili spice: I ordered with side of fried rice. It’s was ok, needed much more basil. Spicy, was on point. Fried rice was a bit bland and dry Lo Mien: ordered with chicken, the chicken was tiny and almost did not exist. It was very dry as it made the noodles very gummy. That s the review. We will try it again. I will keep you posted as we are looking for Asian food that we love to share with our friends in SMA. Says a lot about the restaurant to give such a quick response, thank you! We will order again.
Hands down the best Asian food in San Miguel. It actually tastes like what it says it is!!! Excellent flavors, everything was cooked perfectly, fresh veggies, really good sauces, great noodles.. I had written off having an authentic Asian meal without going to Mexico City, and now we can have it whenever we want
This is without a doubt the best Asian Cuisine in San Miguel de Allende!!!
There are so many amazing dining options in San Miguel de Allende, it often makes it difficult to decide where to go. If you are looking for excellent Asian food, look no further than Asia Orient Express on the Ancha. We had eaten at their previous location in Olimpo, but their new location raises the bar. As far as the atmosphere, the new location is spotless, light and airy. The murals on the wall are beautiful. There are options to dine either inside or outside, depending on your preference. The service was too rate. Our server quickly took our drink order and then took our food order. He checked on us several times throughout the meal to see how everything was or if we needed refills. The food was excellent. We ordered the cream cheese and crab wontons. They were so good we dived right in before getting pictures. I consider myself a problem solver. I ordered a second serving of the wontons and voila, we had pictures. Stacy ordered the beef pho. She loved it. The broth was incredibly tasty, plenty of tender beef and lots of noodles. It was complimented with fresh jalapenos and basil. I tried it and it was the best pho I had ever eaten. I ordered the sweet and sour pork. While I usually prefer spicy dishes, I had a hankering for something fried. The sweet and sour was served with an excellent egg drop soup and fried rice. The pork itself was wonderful and the sauce was very nice, it included veggies, pineapple, and I think a touch of mango. This was an excellent meal and we can't wait to return.
