I hunted fish and chips, so I tried Sean Patricks for the first time today. OMG, soooo good. My food was hot, just as I like it. The meal was exactly what I expected. Flakey, delicious fish, with light bread. The chips were perfectly seasoned. The staff was helpful and friendly. I'll definitely be retuning. Can't wait to try more of their dishes. What User doesn't like about Sean Patricks:
The food was excellent and 3 of the 4 staff members were engaging, knowledgeable about the beers, and the atmosphere was fun. One shaven headed bartender ruined all of that. I don't understand how someone so ill suited for the service industry could be a bartender. The long haired bartender was very nice however and we ended up waiting just to speak to him. Probably won't go back, although the food was really good. View all feedback.
One of the best places in downtown San Marcos! Local favorite for sure!
This place is horrible. Terrible service. The worst service. Didn't even order food. We left after 30 minutes of no service. There were 3 people at the bar a 1 other table.
I've been a regular at this restaurant for years, and it has always been a fantastic and welcoming place. Unfortunately, during my visit for brunch today, I experienced the rudest service I've ever encountered from a bartender. The staff was dismissive, made snarky comments, and overall provided terrible service. It was truly disappointing to be treated this way at such a beloved local gem.
Always delivers a great experience. It brings back memories of my favorite spot in Albuquerque when I was in college.
However, after entering and sitting at the bar right in front of a bartender, we were disappointed. Two girls came in after us and took a seat. The bartender finished making their drinks and immediately went over to take their order, seemingly oblivious to our presence. No big deal at first, we thought he just hadn't noticed us yet. But then he poured their drinks right in front of us, still ignoring us entirely. To add insult to injury, a man walked up to the end of the bar, and the bartender sidestepped us to take his order instead! We attempted to get his attention, but he continued to overlook us. Eventually, we asked to speak to a manager and explained the situation — the bartender clearly wasn't going to work for us. The manager offered to take our order herself, but we flatly refused. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!
