The açaí project has delicious bowls! We are from out of town and we had a hard time finding the actual store front... even though the navigation says you 've arrived we weren 't sure where to go. This is actually located inside the cross fit gym... that 's good to know!Delicious bowls, hard to find! View all feedback.
What Rachel Howard doesn't like about The Acai Project:
I am baffled by the fact that the restaurant was completely closed five minutes before closing time and refused to take my order, especially after I saw the woman next to me receive her acai bowl. The girl with long dark hair, who seemed to be in charge, explained that they couldn't take any more orders because they had already covered the 1/6 pans. View all feedback.

The Açaí Project is a hidden gem with delicious offerings. Located inside a CrossFit gym, it may be a bit difficult for those unfamiliar with the area to find. The small hole-in-the-wall eatery offers a variety of customizable açaí bowls that are worth the slightly higher price tag. While the prices may have increased since older pictures on the internet, the quality of the bowls remains top-notch. This spot is perfect for a quick and healthy treat, especially for those on the go or working out. It may not be the ideal dine-in spot, but it is definitely worth a visit when in town.
When I perused their menu, I was presented with a variety of tempting choices. I ultimately couldn't resist trying their famous Madonna preset. However, I decided to add a twist by selecting a base of blue majik, and it was a total game-changer. The smooth texture of the acai paired with the vibrant blue color and the mix of toppings created a visually stunning and delicious meal that left me completely satisfied. What really impressed me was the portion size. For a reasonable price of $12, I received a generously sized acai bowl that left me feeling fully content. The freshness of the fruit and the quality of the ingredients were evident with every bite, making each spoonful a burst of delightful flavors. If you happen to be in SLO and are in the mood for a refreshing and healthy treat, look no further than The Acai Project. With their dedication to using fresh ingredients, the ability to customize your bowl, and the affordable prices, this spot is a must-visit for acai lovers and health-conscious eaters alike. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
The açaí project is delicious. We are not from the area so it was a little hard to find but it’s located inside of the CrossFit gym. They do not have public restrooms which was kind of a bummer. They are a very small Little hole in the wall with very good açaí bowls. I got the 50/fifty. Their prices are a little higher than what is posted on the internet (older pictures I guess). Pretty pricey- we paid $40 for 3 bowls. The bowls are delicious though. I will probably not come back just because I kind of wanted a better experience. This spot is more for people on the go or working out. Not a dine in place really.
Very poor customer service. I ordered online with a note to change the delivery time since I was driving 3 hrs to pick my order up. Called many times and no one ever answers the phone or texts. They never read the note or texts.Process improvement greatly needed. They were out of a main ingredient but never called. If they’re short of help, then hire someone.
