My husband and I decided to try something new to us. We each ordered the tri tip plate. It came with 2 sides. The fries were great, although we wished there were more side options. Veggies and baked potatoes would be nice options. One thing we would like to mention though, is drinks are not included in plate pricing, and when we ordered we didn't realize that. We actually didn?t get to eat, showed up at 7:45 pm, they were turning off TV which had the menu, the guy seemed angry at me he had to turn it back on the TV so I could view menu. they kicked out a party of 4 who were eating there. The self serve beer taps look promising until you look closer. Then, when you actually use them, you experience a vivid example of a good idea that doesn't live up to its potential...at all. In fact, it's pretty disappointing. 1/2 the beer choices are not available, the taps are not easy to get a good pour and your total keeps running up even if all that's coming out is foam. It's not cold. On another note, the tri-tip was good and, although the service was mediocre to negligent, overall, the price wasn't terrible. In the end. I probably won't go back. Pay a little more. Get a better value.
The food is good hear but the worker in cashier today 04/27/2022 at 12:30pm. She was rude and sarcastic when I was placing my order . I never had poor service here before . I come here every other week and this is the first time I experience bad service and not sure if I will ever be back.
Old SLO BBQ was our wedding caterer on 4.14.22 and they were amazing from start to finish! We came into the restaurant for a wedding tasting and fell in love with the food and we knew we were in great hands with Kevin! He answered all of our questions and always responded to calls and emails quickly! The food turned out perfectly and Kevin his team were so accommodating and went above and beyond on wedding day- even helping clear plates cleaning up!! We requested left overs for my husband and I in our bridal suite because we had been warned bride and groom don't get to each much at the wedding because of all the talking! When we got up to the room later there were 2 to-go boxes made for us and tons of leftovers!! We had sooo many compliments on the food and staff. What a great business and team! Thank you so much! I get the pulled pork sandwhich here all the time and the corn pie. It is excellent. A bit pricey but that is the case everywhere these days. Well worth it though. I have also had the strawberry greens salad with chicken and that is excellent too. Try this place out and judge for yourself. IF the food were that mediocre, then why is it always so busy at lunch time?
5 dollar sliders? No wonder I never see anyone there when I go in. This place will be closed by the end of summer.
