While driving on the 101, I was looking for a vegan, gluten-free dessert that was not too unhealthy. I tried the hazelnut chocolate bar and it was incredibly delicious! I will definitely remember this place for future visits. View all feedback.

I was feeling a little tired and decided to skip the coffee in favor of the berry smoothie at this restaurant. It was packed with goodies and had no added sugar, yet it still tasted fantastic - especially for someone like me who has a sweet tooth. Updated review as of 2022-05-29. View all feedback.
This place is amazing. We tried a lot of what was on the menu, and it was all spectacular. Perhaps a little on the expensive side, but a lot of effort goes into making their own vegan cheeses and breads and it is all absolutely worth it. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often.
I had read about this place on HappyCow and was in town (June 2014), so I went in for a look. Here's my New Earth Health Cafe review. The space is very relaxed and inviting. The owners are super knowledgeable about food and herbs. To get to the cafe you have to walk up the street away from the main part of downtown, just for a couple minutes. In the fridge are bottles of coconut kefir drniks alongside prepared vegan mostly raw meals, including an open-face sandwich with side salad where the bread is infused with coconut kefir as well the raw cheese on top delicious. We also tried the fresh veggie rolls with salad and that was yummy, too. The acai bowl with berries and house-made sprouted granola was refreshing. The food all tasted light and nourishing. I would definitely return the next time I'm in San Luis Obispo.
A great new addition to the healthy scene in downtown San Luis Obispo. Not an extensive menu but plenty of juices and smoothies. I had an open-faced sandwich vegetable sandwich with avocado on kaffir bread that was delicious. A daily soup is available and salads are prepped and ready in a stand-up refrigerator case. There are several tables and a bookcase with a lot of health related information available.
Found this gem online, and with many raw options, this place is an oasis
I took a newly vegan friend to this place on our lunch break on a Wednesday. We got there about 12:10. There was a woman who ordered just before us and the cashier was busy with a client on the phone. He excused himself from the juice bar and went to the kitchen to continue his conversation in privacy before serving us. He came back and was still talking to his client I finally looked at him and said, we're ready to order He told the person on the phone that he had to help some clients referring to us. I ordered the seaweed wrap and my friend ordered the green coffee, soup, and the burger. We told him we were on lunch break and had to be back to our meeting south of town by 1 pm, so I asked him how long it would take. He said it wouldn't take long. I had to repeat my question, how long He said 5 minutes. We were satisfied with his answer and sat down. At 12:38 the woman ahead was just served so I was getting agitated because we still didn't have our food and I got the feeling he said 5 minutes as a way to placate me. We finally stood up and said, hey we need to go. So he walked over to the deli case and grabbed a pre-made seaweed wrap and gave it to me. I was like, WTF we'd been waiting for 20 minutes and you're just now giving me the wrap? He said he wanted to give me a fresh one but the kitchen staff is new/in training. It was soggy but it did taste good (I was really hungry). My friend got her burger to go, ate it in the car, and said it was really good. I will NEVER return. I don't appreciate the lying and the struggle to find parking wasn't fun. Here's a hint maybe don't train kitchen staff during the noon-1pm lunch rush. I was really annoyed by his lack of sense of urgency. I imagine he was more concerned with getting back to the kitchen to finish smoking his bowl with the kitchen staff (there were two of them back there in addition to this sloth-like cashier) than meeting the needs of his clients
