Massive portions! The shrimp was fresh, and the guacamole was deliciously crumbly. We ordered three street tacos that were served with black beans, guacamole, and Mexican rice—everything was tasty and fresh. The service was friendly and prompt, and parking for our RV was hassle-free. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Margie's Diner:
I’ve tried this place several times and it’s always the same. Got the street tacos and the meat was dry and they try to save it with a chipotle sauce. The chips are basic and same for the salsa. The service is good but you would think a Mexican place in California would be able to pull off better Mexican food. View all feedback.
We stayed in SLO for 4 days and visit Taco temples daily. Friendly and efficient staff. The freshest seafood and delicious Mexican inspired lures at a reasonable price. Yummy Desserts. Cool Retro-Surfer-Decor. Very clean and popular.
I loved this place good service and the food its reqlly good i recomended the alaska killer taco the flan and the carrot cake its a realky big sized cake to share
Taco Temple is not to be missed if you're in the SLO area. The food, the ambiance, and the service are top notch. I always order a Temple Ade their version of lemonade. It comes with a splash of grapefruit juice and a sugared rim. Unless you are famished, you will go home with a doggy bag. Covid has me missing their salsa bar now the chips and salsa are delivered to your table. There are 2 locations, and the newer one is pretty fancy, with indoor and outdoor seating. Oh, and don't forget to buy a big slice of carrot cake to bring home since you will be too full to have dessert.
Not a bad little spot for some tacos! I've passed this place on the 101 probably a thousand times and hadn't been in till recently. I do wish the menu had some more Mexican style food, I guess I had the wrong idea with the name Taco Temple...
The other three meals served at our table were given rave reviews, and the burrito that I got was very large, well worth the money but I ordered it wet , and it was actually dry and the inside was somewhat dry too, consisting mostly of chicken. Although the description mentioned beans and other ingredients, I hardly found them. I did ask for more sauce and they brought quite a large portion for me to pour on my burrito which was impressive. The complimentary chips and salsa were very good! I don 't know why this restaurant is not much more busy! We got our food in less than 10 minutes! You get a lot of food for your dollar and the meals are somewhat creative, especially in their presentation on the plate.
