We were visiting from SF and craving sushi after 4+ hours of driving. This place did NOT disappoint! Didn't even take pictures because of how delicious and quickly we munched down the food. We did the 6 nigiri with miso soup special. We also ordered two rolls 911 roll (a must have!!! and the New Washington Roll. Yummy yummy! Will definitely go back if we are ever around. Clean place and most importantly friendly staf... View all feedback.
What Liz Marquez doesn't like about Arigato Sushi (marsh St:
Husband and I waited nearly an hour. I knew the restaurant seemed understaffed which was fine and was willing to wait. But many arrived after us and still got appetizers and entrees which we ordered as well and not a single item received. I don’t understand how they kept taking food orders by phone when clearly customers were left waiting a significant amount of time. View all feedback.
Started with spicy garlic edamame and not so good, just the plain. The Scallop lover role looked extravagant, but the role tasted DRY. It also lacked any taste at all and I had no interest in eating it after the first bite, it was kind of rough. The other two reels were delicious and I liked the nigger! Not the best quality fish, but decent for the price. They should extend their hours. Several people are waiting for a table at 8:30. Last call at 9:15, so we were hurried to order as soon as we got a table at 9:00. Something annoying that the hostess did it at 8:30 a.m. that we wouldn't get a table, so we went elsewhere, even though we put our name in. About 10 minutes later she called to say that our table was ready to waste more time.
Return of customers here and this place has come so far. I really love their quality fresh fish and the servers and hosts are always so friendly and positive. Order the “oh sushi” roll and thank me later!!!
The best place in SLO for Sushi. Service is great, food is great. Blue crabs hand roll is a must.
Wide range of sushi rolls. We were on Friday with 6 people. Place was full and was still waiting staff was attentive. Ordered a few rolls plus the spicy edamame (and they were spicy). The food was good. They ran a special happy hour 'all day, every day'. That meant about $10 per roll. Great price for so good food.
Experience and food was amazing. We came in from out of town and a friend had recommended this sushi spot. Soooo glad she did! We tried a few different rolls and the fried tempura ice cream! Everyone was so sweet. Masks on and all tables were 6 plus feet apart!
