Perfect ending to an awesome vacation in PR. Drinks and food were great. I had the beef burrito, husband had beef taco, kids had cheese quesadilla. Location and ambience were great as well. With 4 and 6 year olds boys running around I couldn't have found a better place. Will recommend to anyone, including families with crazy kids : View all feedback.
What Lucia M doesn't like about Ficus Mexican Grill:
There are not very good options to eat around Sheraton and the Puerto Rico convention center. Restaurants are expensive and offer few options, most of them sandwiches and salads. For that reason I decided to give Ficus a try, no matter the reviews it had. The place is nice but food is average. I had the beef fajitas $20 dollars) and it was to expensive for an average food. The margarita came on a plastic cup and with too much ice $9). The bill added up to $35 with tax and service what I find expensive for a two star's lunch menu. Service was excellent and raised my review by one star. It is charged at the bill already.
My extra star was for the cute black birds tweeting about. I've had better tacos on an airplane. Please rather than using nachos cheese pump and then hiding it with a top layer of real cheese, just DON'T put liquid gag pudding on there at all. Margarita had good ice in it. I think my favorite part was the salt on the brim.
The food was pretty average, and I wasn't that impressed to be honest. The selection of restaurants inside the Sheraton Hotel were lacking, so we had no choice but to eat here. I'm not even going to bother reviewing what I ate here. It was forgettable, but one thing you should remember. Watch out for your receipts! They'll add their gratuity there.

Had a wonderful dining experience sitting outside of the convention center by the large pool of water having cocktails and eats with a friend and her colleagues. The solo waiter took such good care of us! They didn't have frozen drinks so my craving for a Pina colada was thwarted so I settled for a non alcoholic drink. My other friends had monitor and they said they were delicious. The fish wrap and potato wedges where a big portion. A huge filet of fried fish was was wrapped in a flour tortilla and it was dressed with a love salsa that was big on cilantro and lime. The wedges were perfectly fried. The wings which were pricey $15 was a double portion of larger than usual wingettes and drums it was a huge portion!! They were perfectly seasoned and fried. I had the hot sauce on the side and I am glad I did because it was hot and tastes but I was glad to control the amount of it on each bite. We had a salad to share but that was I remarkable shredded ice berg lettuce a few slices of tomato and croutons. It was a good counter to the wings but would have liked something more hearty and maybe some Other veggies on the plate. The bathroom was ok. The service was fantastic!! The setting pleasant so long as you aren't in the pathway of the cigarette and cigar smokers. Which fortunately we only had to shift our small group once due to the want of fresh air.
