Tagpuan - San Jose del Monte

Tagpuan is only walking distance from our guest house so it's very convenient. The food is good and very affordable. We tried their beef tapa and glazed chicken. Yum!

This place is only a few meters away from Flotsam and Jetsam Hostel. I only walked from the hostel to this place. Alternatively, you can ride a tricycle. The food really tastes good. For a budget of Php80 to Php120, you can have a rice meal. There are only limited tables and chairs so you just have to be patient if you really want to sit down. This place is supposed to be "clean as you go" but unfortunately, some customers do not follow it and the tables end up dirty and sticky. If you can tolerate eating while there are a few tissues on the table, some calamansi seeds, or spilled soy sauce, then that should not hinder you from eating here.

This place is open until 2AM! So it's the perfect place to eat at after a night of drinking. Food is simple but really good!

This is a review more on the store itself rather than the food.Me and my friends were already STARVING at around 9:30 AM in the morning, so we was looking for a good place to eat. Tagpuan ranked high on previous reviews, so we went straight to it.They were still closed at 9:30AM in the morning, after about 15 minutes of waiting I found another resto and we ate there instead. it's weird that they offer breakfast bowls, when they open quite late.When heading back they were open at around 11AM already.

If you are after good local food at a good local place than this is defiantly the place. It's also really good for the traveler on a budget.
