Kanzhu has been one of the places i frequent if I'm craving for noodles. Their A-1 dry beef noodles is deliciously filling and it comes with a bowl of soup (which you can ask for a refill :P) The noodles are chewy and the beef...is soft. What Elaina Leannon doesn't like about Kanzhu Hand-Pulled Noodles:
Kanzhu is almost always deserted. Despite the small size of the restaurant, it never gets filled. One reason is probably because the menu is very limited and the food is not any special. We expected a lot more flavors in the noodles but didn't find it here.Maybe, it is time for the owners to re-visit the menu so that the space it occupies does not go wasted. Visited Kanzhu for lunch with friends. We had the braised beef dry noodles, yuxiang eggplant dry noodles, mixed seafood dry noodles, lamb fried noodles. Of the four dishes, my favorite was the yuxiang eggplant dry noodles. It had a bit of kick to it but not overwhelmingly spicy. Dishes are reasonably priced and noodles are perfectly al dente. This one's a keeper!
I won't be able to tell the difference between a hand-pulled noodle from a machine one, but this place is a good place to have noodles. The noodles served in large bowls are a meal by themselves. So if you are not that hungry, be satisfied by just ordering the noodles. However if you have that extra space, order the dimsum which are not bad although they're a bit slow to come. We also had the sweet and sour fish which had just the right crunch in the fillet and the the sauce was good.

Finally tried this place after passing this on the way home a billion times. My first time here, I had the braised beef and tendon dry noodles and my hubby got the a1 braised beef dry noodles. We were floored! We didn't expect it considering it seemed like such an unassuming place. The noodles were chewy and soft and the sauce of the dry noodles tasted rich and flavorful. The braised beef is so soft, and the tendon melty. I was in noodle heaven. Serving was just right to fill you up. I also tried the green tea taho, it was good too! It tasted like jasmine green tea pudding with tapioca and drizzled with a light sweet syrup making this dessert light and refreshing. Definitely found a new favorite noodle place! Left this place very happy and will come back.
Tried Kanzhu, and their fare. We had Chicken, dumplings, siomai, and noodles. Try their lamb/sheep dumplings, which is one of their best sellers. The place is kinda small, and parking is very limited.
