Starbird Chicken - San Jose

Tried this place out for lunch takeout and got their tender box which came with 3 chicken tenders, lots of fries, and starsauce/blue cheese. Portions are large so great for a big meal, but the taste was below expectations. It was far from the quality of a similar chicken/fries place I've had. Interior has a nice aesthetic design to it, with spacious seating inside. There is also some outdoor seating as well.

It was our first time visiting. Was interesting how much busy they are. We did the self service so i wasnt able to see how the servers were. 1 star for how quick they were with serving our food. 2 star for the parking space that was close by. 3rd star for the food. 4th star for the ambience. Big windows adequate sitting. I think the place could be a little bit cleaner tho. other than that the salad I had was good

This is the only place where I even consider getting a salad over the other foods. The mango chicken salad is delish! They do not skimp on the avocado which I highly appreciate. I really like the chicken sandwiches too. Honestly can't go wrong with what you get!

Ok so where they lack in customer service they make up for in their food! SO. GOOD! The bread is soo fresh that sauce tho!! Holy cannoli! But my favorite is the small batch soda Hangar Cola 25! OH. EM. GEE! I don't really drink a lot of soda at all, but I get a large one here!

Came here with a friend while visiting NorCal. Was told this place was popular in terms of chicken sandwiches and all things related. I gave this place a 3 star because the sandwich itself, although was well seasoned on the exterior, was very lacking on the inside. It was actually borderline dry on the inside, which was surprising because the exterior was well seasoned and fried. Maybe I had high expectations because my friend was hyping it, but I wouldn't say this was the best or one of the greatest chicken sandwiches I've had before. The fries don't have much to discuss about, they weren't well seasoned or at all. For the price, I'm not quite sure it's worth what it costs. But maybe NorCal prices are high since.. it is NorCal. I may not have cared for it, but I do hear the tenders are a better option? Not sure, not a huge fan of chicken tenders myself.
