I am in San Jose a lot for work and I always try to get to luna! there are no tonne vegan options, but the ones they have are delicious they must try the camote appetizer (charred sweet kartoffel) and sub aioli for the cashew creama. they have a veggie parrilladas that can be divided and the salads are also delicious. updated by previous review on 2022-03-12 View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Luna Mexican Kitchen:
This restaurant has few vegetarian and vegan options. They are not the best. In the two occasions I have come what I've ordered didn't match the description of ingredients in the menu. The cheese may have been produced with rennet. No information on that View all feedback.
Great food! My 10-year-old loved the potato taquito and the guacamole was the best I ever had. My brother has celiac and we ordered special chips for him. All their menu items note the various allergies in any meal, so it was easy for him to choose a gluten-free option. We're coming back here!
Wow!!!! In recent years I heard amazing reviews about this place and every time we tried to go here, it was super booked. But this weekend we have a table here. We ordered a good mix of bowls, guacamole chips, margaritas, tacos, mocktails. Food was super tasty, servings were just the right size and the presentation was incredible. This place has a very indoor outdoor vibe I love. Would highly recommend this place and I will certainly come back to try more dishes and enjoy the mood!
Ceviche was really good! One of the few places I think the quality of food with increased prices has recently been maintained after the pandemic and inflation. Service could be better, but not dramatically bad. Only complaint I have is the lack of parking because they convert the parking lot to the outdoor restaurant. Plan before the time to park or you could drive a bit down the residential side streets.
I would give Luna 6 stars, the food is excellent, the coating is beautiful, the older gentleman who was assigned to our table attentive and friendly, and all this in an upscale ambience for Entrées, which an average of $15! The chips are like those you might not have, thick and crispy. Both Salsas were excellent, the light green is spicy Yams. Try the salmon Tacos and Chili Rellenaros, both excellent. The grilled chicken was also great. The tortillas are fresh. Only about the only complaint I could possibly make that they have no menus, drag one on your phone.
So good! We are in town for one night only and received a recommendation that did not disappoint! We did have to wait , but they were efficient and it is a a cute spot. I enjoyed Lunarita while we waited. Once we were sat, we asked out server her recommendations and ordered the QUESO FLAMEADO and TACOS DORADOS DE PAPA for appetizers. Both were good, but the guacamole was AMAZING!! For main courses we ordered ENCHILADAS SUIZAS, MOLE POBLANO ENCHILADAS, SALMON TACOS, COCHINITA PIBIL, and a side of ELOTE (Mexican corn) for the table. It was all delicious! The Salmon Tacos were my favorite! The patio is adorable and just the vibe we were looking for.
