Firehouse No. 1 Gastropub - San Jose

Excellent food and a charming small bar ambiance. They boast a fantastic bar and provide outdoor seating as well. I enjoy dining al fresco when the weather is pleasant, which it often is in our beautiful state. The waitstaff is exceptional, and the food is delicious. It's a perfect spot for dinner before heading to a concert or game in downtown San Jose.

I had an excellent experience with outstanding service and an impressive drink menu. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu, offers fantastic recommendations, and is well-informed about nearby locations if you're looking for somewhere to go after dinner.

The atmosphere here is laid-back and inviting. It's a great spot to enjoy a drink and a meal. The mussels are exceptional, and the wings are also delicious. The bartender genuinely enjoys his job and always makes you feel welcome during your visits. The service consistently exceeds expectations!

Server asked for if we had a reservation...there were exactly 6 people in this restaurant...okay. Not many options for beer, but had one that was...well, almost warm...ok, just not cold. Food was good, but a bison burger for darn near $30. Probably won't be coming back. Sorry

Food and beer were amazing. Loved the Mac N Cheese. Bartender was great, until he decided to audibly make fun of, and berate other customers within earshot. That’s an ugly look for a customer-facing, service-based business. Will not be back.
