Dong Que - San Jose

This restaurant was a solid choice for the Norman area. I've been here twice. The server was a bit overly eager. We ordered around a dozen dishes for five people, which seemed like plenty, right? Haha. The food was good overall, but the service could use some improvement. I can't recall which dish arrived extremely late, but we had finished all the other twelve dishes before it finally came out, which was a bit disappointing.

This place even invites for a water that waits for eating takes so much time, and eating it is not so good. also the cashier asked me if I can pay the tips in cash. I don't care if the service is great and at least eat on time. with their reception they do not translate in English, they will not really know what they pay if they do not understand Vietnamese . I like Vietnamese eating, but this place is not something I will recommend

I often visit this restaurant with my family. The service is decent, though it tends to be quite busy, which is understandable. The food is still served in a timely manner. My favorite dishes include the Thai hot pot (133), clams in Thai broth (78), scallops with fish roe (88), and the emperor clam with fish roe (75)!

Very good one！ It's very fresh and tasty.! We went there with six people and everyone liked the food. It's cost around $35 person. Should try it .

You can't deny the food here is exceptional. Every dish from the flavor to quality of the product is A . However, I'm giving it 1 star because every visit is a bad experience. Either server is not attentive, food takes forever to come out or they end up bringing the wrong dish. I understand the restaurant gets busy, but part of good service is being adequately staff. To top it off, the attitude of the staff. Like they could care less, then they shouldn't expect to receive any tip since no service is being rendered. ‍ I hope this review gets the owner's attention because I believe they would thrive as a business if they could improve the svc level. I'd love to see a second branch or expansion of existing restaurants to accommodate more guests.
