But from Gigli we go for the pastry that, I can say, proudly is handed down from two generations with wisdom and quality, from the raw material and to the resulting finished product. You do not buy simple pastries, you do not make a simple breakfast, when you enter Gigli you buy an emotion. Not to be missed.
For many years my family has the cult, which on Sunday buys sweets at the GIGLI bakery of San GIORGIO a Cremano. I've had this good habit, too. I live now in SANTO DOMINGO, but every time I return to Italy I do not miss to visit and taste the delicacies, the variety and quality of sweets and desserts, served with sympathy from owners and employees
Common voice, for many is the best in the area, prices are not competitive but I guarantee that to have high quality products like this pastry shop, certainly uses excellent quality raw materials and especially fresh. Good processing of traditional Neapolitan and classic Italian desserts.
I ordered 15 days ago a tart to the wild strawberries: STREET! Cotta and friable at the right point, as well as very light, tasty. Particular and that, the tart, I think had a layer of sponge bread between the frill paste and the cream with strawberries. It's not the first time I've had cakes at this bakery and it's not the last time. I tried other laboratories but I confirm that for me Gigli is the best. The price is a little high but is justified by the quality: possibly, better to eat a dessert less but that is good.
