Massimo and Luca, the hosts, were incredibly friendly and helpful with explaining the menu. We had the most perfect little table set in a grotto type area within the stone walls inside which made it even more perfect. We had the vegan tartare to start, which was the highlight of the menu for us, despite us not being vegan/vegetarian ourselves. We loved that Massimo created this dish for his vegan wife, maybe the love that went in to it is what makes it so special! We then opted to share the Pici for our pasta dish and the wild boar stew for our main, which were both delicious. They even split each dish into two mini portions for us which added a nice touch. Lastly we shared the home made tirramisu, perhaps the best we have ever tried. Both the red and white house wines were also very good! I could not fault a thing about this restaurant and would highly recommend to anyone visiting San Gimignano

They delighted us wit... read more Number one restaurant in San Gimignano. Massimo, the owner, and his team form a perfect team: excellent service, cuisine, and hospitality. They delighted us with a dining and wine tasting experience worthy of a Michelin star. Book in advance because it's a cozy place with limited seating. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. Congratulations to the entire team!
