Does not seem like much from outside, but friendly staff and amazing sushi and sashimi wait inside. Daily fresh sushi/sashimi specialties I had sumi ika (cut fish), which was delicious. So glad I was in the mood for Sushi and this place was right opposite my hotel. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about No.1 Kazoku:
came in for Japanese yakitori and lunch rolls. unfortunately they don 't do yakitori during lunch time! ordered several rolls, fresh grilled fish and tempura. the fish needed some salt and the tempura was 'off ' and didn 't send quite right. the tempura 's shrimp was on the small side too. the rolls were good, but nothing exciting to right about. overall, the restaurant was ok. Is it I exprience too much good food or just you guys are buying the reviews. the foods are absolutely terrible here.the chef is bad. the food is normal. it's also over charging.and also. credit machine has problem. You know what I meant, your credit card numbers leak right away. How I know it ? brand new credit card with first transcation. go home it got swiped by singapore scam company 5 times. guess who leaks it
Wasn't in the mood for sushi and teriyaki anything. Was thinking of having to make do with skewers and whatnot. But the Tokyo fried rice was AMAZING.Food: 5/5
I haven't been here in decades. It's changed owners that time, but this latest iteration ain't bad. Excellent customer service. Tried their Monkey Brains and Gizzard skewer. The Monkey Brains (not real monkey Brains, you racist! we're an interesting concoction. The chicken gizzard skewer was seasoned just right, and not overcooked had the right amount of feedback on the outer layer, with enough juiciness within. Although for the price, couldn't you have thrown in 1 more skewer?
Great place for a night out, both the yakitori items and sushi was delicious! We had a group of 8 reserved for 9PM, and the waiters were awesome in accommodating our group. Highly recommend the skewers, lots of options and chicken cartilage was so flavorful. We also tried the poke salad and Kazoku roll, both were delivious! Would come back again.
It was a busy night in LA. The lakers were playing on the western finals. The service was a bit slow, but the food was great. Some of the best raw fish I've ever eaten and I've eaten a lot of raw fish...like a shark.
