What Galina Chzhen likes about Walking Fish:
Vegan poke! My husband and I got introduced to this place when they had a promotion for plant based tuna, tasted legit if I remember it correctly, lol (see the attached pictures)! They also have other 3 vegan poke options and we are looking forward to come back and try more! View all feedback. What User doesn't like about Walking Fish:
I visited this restaurant the other day and then went to Alamo Square Park afterwards. The person working behind the counter was quite rude and gave me smaller portions than I expected. I had to ask for a little more, and in the end, he charged me extra! The quality of the food was average for the price. I would recommend trying this place at least once, but maybe it was just an off day. View all feedback.

read moreNestled in Lower Haight, this poke shop offers an array of customizable bowls that leave diners divided. While some praised the attentive staff and delightful atmosphere, others criticized the disappointing fish-to-rice ratio and lackluster flavor in several dishes. Customers noted that the quality of tuna was merely average, and many felt the vegetable toppings overshadowed the main ingredients. Despite these drawbacks, a few glimpsed the potential of the vegan options and fun experiences. Ultimately, while the poke selection may not capture the essence of true Hawaiian cuisine, the charm of the spot encourages further exploration.
