I didn't have high expectations before visiting. I ordered the steak spaghetti, and it turned out to be much better than I anticipated. The steak was cooked quite well, and the sauce was delicious. I deducted one star because I requested the steak to be medium rare, but it came out more like well done. View all feedback.
What Global Trend Reviewer doesn't like about Tasty:
This restaurant has a few drawbacks that make it hard to recommend. Firstly, it only accepts cash, and its prices aren't low enough to justify the inconvenience of withdrawing money. Secondly, the opening hours are not very accommodating for dinner patrons—they close at 7 PM with the last order around 6:40 PM. While I understand the need for the kitchen to wrap up, shutting down at a time when most people are looking... View all feedback.
Good food for reasonable prices. Very popular with local residents.
Just s generic HK style cafe, but the food is decent and it's cheap.
It 's a legit HK cafe, not Asian fusion as Google thinks. Ze algorithm is wrong.
Great food. Had to order two dishes: beef with green beans, pork chops with rice and tomatoes. Very tasty.
Updated review 4/30/2021. I wanted to try their Fri/Sat prime rib special but it was not available. Other items like their crab dishes were also not available. Tasty's indoor dining room was a chilly 52°F because they left the front door open for COVID. Tonight I had their HK style black pepper steak $12. The steak had a good pepper taste with a heavy sauce on the side. The pasta was meh with a sweet red meat sauce. I would have preferred a traditional tomato sauce. It was a decent dish. Service was excellent as there were only three other customers dining. Original review: Indoor dining 4/19/2021. Tonight I had their baked seafood fried rice with Portuguese sauce. It was decent and contained pieces of seafood like little calms, shrimps, small octopus pieces. The vegetables were fresh with a snap to them. True to being a Hong Kong style cafe, the food came out fast within five minutes. Their Portuguese sauce lacked favor causing the fried rice below to be plain. It wasn't bad but could have been better. My bill came to $16 with tax and tip.
