I absolutely adore this place! The food and beer are truly delightful and genuinely German. As someone from the Midwest, I know how challenging it can be to find a quality German restaurant in the Bay Area, but this one has been the best I've encountered so far! What beebler doesn't like about Suppenkuche:
This trendy corner restaurant is an excellent spot for groups looking to enjoy some satisfying German cuisine. While the simple and noisy atmosphere may not be the best choice for a romantic date, it pairs perfectly with the beer for a fun outing with friends. View all feedback.
I wish I could double the stars of this review! We decided to have our post-civil ceremony drinks at Suppenküche and at the end of the night, it was clear to us that we couldn't have picked a better spot. Every single person who works there is extremely thoughtful, very accommodating, and overall, amazing people. You guys made our night so memorable. Thanks again for hosting us and our friends so graciously. Can't wait to come back soon!
A nice spot to stop by. The food was okay, the schnitzel was very plain and thin. The beer was good.

The brunch selections are fantastic, and they have a wonderful variety of beers. There are plenty of alcoholic options available, and the portion sizes are generous. The service was prompt, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Be sure to arrive with an empty stomach and take your time enjoying the meal!
If you're seeking a quiet dinner, this isn't the spot for you. However, if you want delicious, hearty food and reasonably priced beer in a lively and hip atmosphere with communal tables, then this is the place to be! I enjoyed the trout served in lemon butter sauce with bouillon potatoes and spinach, which was fantastic. I also tasted my companion’s bratwurst, which was equally excellent.
