I was visiting and needed a cake for a birthday. I walked in on a Friday afternoon and they had different flavors of ready-made cakes. I got the birthday cake and they were able to write whatever I wanted on it. The box that it comes in is colorful and makes for a great presentation. The cake itself was so tasty and it was perfect for the occasion. Highly recommend coming here for cakes or other sweets! View all feedback.
There are so many options to choose from at this restaurant! The iced coffee macaroon was amazing - I could eat 20 and still be happy! The birthday cake cruffle was the next best thing! Yum!
We purchased a dozen cupcakes for a housewarming party, with about 5 different flavors. They were all delicious and incredibly moist.
The cupcakes were amazing! The buttercream flavor was fantastic. They were a bit on the sweet side, but still definitely worth trying!
My partner surprised me with cupcakes from here! Which is perfect when yagurl has a visit from mother nature, I stereotypically crave chocolate and steaks haha. I think my favorite is the red velvet flavor which is honestly a classic, can't go wrong.
If you’re reading this review, stop right now and just go into Sift and buy a Whoopie cookie. JUST DO IT. Seriously, this review will be here while you’re eating, and then you can come back and say I was helpful. ?If you still need convincing:My husband and I came to Sift on a whim several months ago, and HOLY COW was it the right choice. We came in for the macarons, always a perennial favorite for me, but the star of the show for us ended up being the snickerdoodle whoopie cookie. Can I just tell you, we got these for our ride home to San Jose, and before we even left the city I was contemplating turning around for another one. The cookies are so soft and delicious, and have that snickerdoodle tang that must come from using the crème of tarter (the mark of a real snickerdoodle, btw) and the icing is laid in thick. Now, it is a bit rich, I admit. We highly suggest splitting one if you’re sensitive to sweet, but the cinnamon adds a perfect balance to the sweetness. If you’re not sensitive to sweet, I recommend going hard for the sugar cookie version.Snickerdoodles not your jam? Here enters the Oreo whoopie cookie. An instant classic, that makes an actual Oreo look like a sad redhead stepchild. (I can say that, I have red hair) This cookie has a different texture, almost like it has Oreo crumbs baked right into it -a sort of crumbly crispness that I still can’t figure out. The icing for this is a bit softer, and more of a creamy flavor -brining it’s namesake to mind for sure. You’ll literally never want a real Oreo again, I promise. It’s a big claim, but you’ll see…Now, Sift has so many other desserts to try, but if you get only one thing: WHOOPIE COOKIE! And if you have a family of sweet fiends, like my husband and I, I highly recommend a boxed assortment so you can all vote on your favorite -this will save time on your next visit! Also: Yes, I drove from San Jose to San Francisco to buy a box of these. Yes, I will do it again. No, you can’t have one of mine.??
