What Michael Schuett doesn't like about Sf Hole In The Wall Pizza:
I am glad I wasn't a first time customer as I probably wouldn't have ordered again. The pizza was burnt and should not have left the restaurant. But I am a long time customer and this is the first time this has happened. View all feedback.
Decent place. Good happy hour specials. I'm from Chicago so it's hard to impress me with pizza. I'm a deep dish fan and we all know that was born in Chicago. For a local place I'd recommend it. Very nice outdoor seating set up for the Pandemic. The pizza was good and the staff friendly.
Stop in for a yummy pizza and a Racer 5 brew. Happy Hour(2pm to 5pm gets me a Yummy slice and a Bottle of Hand Crafted in Sonoma Racer 5 beer and that's time well spent. ‐ Also it's the most incredible bang for your buck in the entire 48 square miles of SF. Plenty of parking even when they occasionally block off Irving street so people can relax.(this might be weekends but either way I always see parking spots available. Sit outside and enjoy. The BBQ or the Combo is highly recommended. Take your pick of some good selections. I saw 9 yummy pizzas for slices and at least 4 different local bottles of ice cold beer. You will leave Hole in the Wall Pizza Highly Satisfied. Then you go back jack do it again!
Pizza is great. A little more crisp on the crust would do justice. The pizza sauce is crazy good. Dont know if they serve pasta but they should with the sauce.
My office had been ordering pizza for lunch every Friday. Not that I don't appreciate the perk, but every vendor was awful. I lost my taste for pizza for at least a year until I dared to try this place. I can now say I like pizza again. It's a little pricey, but the prices are pretty much on par with other pizza joints. At least the pizza is actually good here. I haven't tried their other food yet. So far I've had the Combo Classic and Aloha.
Great crust, slightly sweet crispy but still fluffy. The pie has great tomato sauce and high caliber ingredients. Would definitely return. The pizza maker was closing up shop, but decided to open for the last couple doughs he had left. Was definitely worth it!
